Killing is not solved with killing. The death penalty, also known as the capital punishment, is a controversial issue that is now being under the eye of the government to whether to implement it or not. The death penalty is the punishment for the most heinous crimes a citizen can do. When it was approved by congress, the only crimes that are punished with the death penalty are those that are involved with drugs. With the death penalty punishing only crimes that involve drugs, this makes the issue of extrajudicial killing come to mind. Would this bill solve the rise in extrajudicial killings? In our opinion, this bill would not solve extrajudicial killings; in fact it might actually increase the extrajudicial killings.

The implementation of the death penalty would force those in the higher classes in the drug syndicate hierarchy to kill off those in the lower classes. This is because the higher classes do not want those in the lower classes to snitch on them and cause them to be punished by the death penalty. So, those in the higher classes kill those in the lower classes and make the killings look like the result of extrajudicial killings or vigilantism.
In the end, the implementation of the death penalty would make increase the amount of extrajudicial killings. The implementation would also cause the drug syndicates to become sneaky in the selling of their drugs. We, as a team, believe that the death penalty would not solve anything and would just cause more problems.
